The Nasty IRS The Nasty IRS
The
IRS has the power to destroy your life. It can claim you owe taxes and take your stuff even if you don't owe
any taxes at all.
Most of Americans believe that the IRS abuses its power but most people have no idea of the incredible amount of power politicians
and judges have granted the IRS. The IRS has wrongfully seized paychecks and bank accounts from tens of thousands of
people. The IRS can take your bank account without a court order even if their accounting is based on their own clerical error.
The following comments are examples of IRS abuse.
*The IRS puts almost no controls to prevent its employees
from spying on other citizens' personal financial information. A General Accounting Office official testified to
Congress in 1994 that: "IRS internal auditors found that there were virtually no controls programmed into the Integrated
Data Retrieval Systems to limit what employees can do once they are authorized ...access."
* One IRS employee, after a dispute with
a taxpayer, accessed his account without authorization and used that information to threaten the individual.
* A revenue
agent targeted the returns of two taxpayers after he had a business dispute with them.
* A taxpayer's account was levied after
she fully paid her liability with cash. Internal Security discovered that the collection employee who she paid had embezzled
most of her cash payment by altering the amount of the cash receipt.
* The IRS routinely slaps $500 penalties
on taxpayers who write protest words on their tax returns. In order to contest the penalty individuals must first pay
it and sue. Of course such a lawsuit would cost considerably more than $500.00, so the IRS continues with its harassment. The Brutal Police
Police in the
United States continue to brutalize innocent citizens.
* In 1991, four policemen were convicted for assaulting,
robbing and planting drugs on local residents in Oakland, Ca.
* In New Orleans there has been a great deal of corruption in the police department. They have been involved
in rampant corruption. More than thirty New Orleans policemen have been arrested for crimes that include bribery, theft
and even bank robbery. One cop even had a local witness of his own police brutality murdered by a hitman.
* In Montgomery
County, Maryland in 1991, a cop killed a woman with his shotgun as she was standing next to a car eating cornchips.
* In 1993,
federal judge Joyce Green stated that the use of excessive force by the District of Columbia police force was causing the
type of behavior that it was supposed to prevent.
* In Philadelphia, a black policewoman was beaten with flashlights by other policemen who mistook her
for a rioter.
* In 1993, Michael Dowd, a New York policeman was arrested for drug dealing. Other police were found to be
entering apartments, breaking things and throwing people around without a warrant.
* Perjury is one of the most common abuses.
Police have fabricated evidence to justify locking up private citizens.

The End of America by Naomi Wolf Back in 1976, I
first heard about the Freedom Movement. I was walking down a street near my house and I saw a sign on a building that
said "National Tax Strike." I went inside and met some interesting fellows. They introduced me to a
fellow by the name of John Grandbouche who ran for governor on the Tea Party ticket in 1976. He was quite a gutsy fellow.
One day, when he was running his restaurant, a team of IRS goons came in and robbed his cash register for alleged back taxes.
After that, John was never the same. He started an organization known as the National Commodity and Barter Association
to inform the American public about the fraudulent banking and income tax systems The IRS absolutely hated him. For
years the NCBA and the IRS battled it out in court and finally, the IRS indicted its leaders. The NCBA won 26 out of 27 counts
in a criminal case. They were defeated on a summons issue and were sent off to the big house for criminal contempt because
they refused to give the names of their members to the IRS.
John told me that things would get much worse before they got better. John died prematurely in 1986 of a heart attack
but his influence lives on. I have never forgotten his words. His prediction began to come true with the election
of the sprout, George Bush, the 43rd president. Two years ago George wiped out the bankruptcy laws for the
middle class. George has been conducting a class war since he was elected but the bankruptcy laws put the final touches
on the demise of the middle class. Furthermore, the IRS became more empowered because bankrupting taxes is now more
difficult than ever. George
also brought us secret prisons, war without end, the legitimization of torture and the almost complete destruction of the
Bill of Rights. The Patriot Act is Orwellian Doublespeak for the exact opposite.
During the last 20 years I did a lot of work on the Fifth Amendment and the Income tax and if you will read my book, Why
No One is Required to File Tax Returns, which is a free download on my website, http://www.anti-irs.com/, you will find that I have made some points that the government cannot refute. When I started on this
journey, I was very upset that the government was "requiring" individuals to voluntarily waive their Fifth Amendment
Rights and then incarcerating a select few who choose not to volunteer to scare the rest of the population. The feds,
under the tutelage of George Bush, have run a full circle and they are now legitimizing their disdain for the Bill of Rights
in all facets of government and not just the tax arena. John Grandbouche, unfortunately, was all so right; things are
going to get much worse. I
just finished reading an excellent new book on the state of our nation. Naomi Wolf has written, The End of America-Letter
of Warning to a Young Patriot.
In the introduction to her excellent book, Ms. Wolf states the following:
But this is not all. The president and his lawyers now claim the authority to designate any American citizen he
chooses as being an "enemy combatant," and to define both "torture" and "material support" broadly.
They claim the authority to give anyone in the executive branch the power to knock on your door, seize you on the street,
or grab you as you are changing planes, blindfold you and put earphones on you and put earphones on you; take you to a cell
in a navy prison; keep you in complete isolation for months or even years; delay your trial again and again; and make it hard
for you to communicate with your lawyer. The president claims the authority to direct agents to threaten you in interrogations
and allow into your trial things you confessed to while you were being mistreated.
The president claims the authority to do any of those things to any American citizen now on his say-so alone. Let me
repeat this: The president asserts that he can do this to you even if you have never committed a crime of any kind: "enemy
combatant" is a status offense. Meaning that if the president says you are one, then you are. It is obvious that the government could define
any individual involved in criticism of the tax system as an enemy combatant. The fact that the IRS and the courts have
done everything they can to protect the tax system by smashing the Fifth Amendment, is only one nail in the coffin of the
Bill of Rights. The Patriot Act finishes the dirty deed.
If you are concerned about your future and the future of your country, you owe it to yourselves to read Naomi's wonderful
book. If everyone would become aware that the government is currently destroying the Bill of Rights, maybe enough of
the population would rise up to make a difference.
